A Mouse Maiden
Once there was a magician who could turn animals into human
beings. One day, with his magical powers, the magician changed a mouse into a girl.
The girl
grew young and wanted to marry the strongest person. Then she said to her
mother, “Who is stronger Sun or the Cloud?”. Her mother relied ‘the Sun is
stronger than the cloud’. Then the girl asked the Sun to marry her. The Sun
replied that the Cloud would be stronger than me since he could stop my rays.
Listening
to this, the girl went to the Cloud, then the Cloud replied that the Mountain would
be stronger than me because he could stop me from moving.
Immediately,
the girl went to the Mountain. The Mountain replied that the Mouse would be
stronger than me because he could do burrows to me.
Finally,
the girl (earlier a mouse) married another mouse.
